BUTLER COUNTY EMS NEEDS CITIZENS WILLING TO HELP SAVE LIVES!!
The Butler County Public Responder (BCPR) Network provides free CPR training and works to raise general awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest to the public
Cardiac Arrest that occurs out of the hospital affects 50,000-100,000 people per year. Unfortunately, only about 6% of people survive on average. One of the most important factors to whether a person survives is if a bystander provides CPR.
Currently, very few Cardiac Arrest victims receive this much-needed intervention.
Butler County Emergency Medical Services has established the Butler County Public Responder (BCPR) Network in order to make CPR training for the public a priority.
The BCPR Network’s goal is to provide the community with free training in hands-only CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator. The BCPR Network also plans to provide CPR education to students in Butler County schools.Butler County EMS and the BCPR Network wants as many Butler County citizens as possible to be willing to help save a life by providing CPR and using an AED. Our goal is to make training more accessible and less time consuming. The training takes approximately 30 minutes and can be done almost anywhere, at anytime.
People who attend a training session will receive a card, although it only indicates they are willing to provide Hands-only CPR and use an AED if its available if a fellow member of their community suddenly collapses. If a person needs official certification in CPR, the BCPR Network can also help.
For more information on upcoming training sessions and to learn more about CPR, you can follow the BCPR Network on Twitter at @BCPRnetwork and "Like" their Facebook page by searching for "BCPR Network" or visiting www.Facebook.com/BCPRnetwork.

And the guy is in stable condition? But no one intubated him! Oh wait.... =) Also - This place appears to be crazy rural! Hope we get some details out of this awesome story! Well done Blake & Rex.
