It is on. The Butler County HEARTSafe Community Program is officially launched. The task-force finalized the criteria and application packets today.

The Community Designation Kit will be made available tomorrow. We expect our first "Declaration of Intent" to be made in the next two weeks!

"The Continuous Chest Compressions (CCC) trial will randomize 23,600 people with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest to either standard CPR or continuous chest compressions, both delivered by paramedics or fire fighters." Watch out 2015 AHA guidelines. CCR works for Primary Cardiac Arrest patients, this RCT should finally put all this to rest.

Another win for evidence-based medicine and the constant evaluation of everything we do.
