The Butler County Chaplain Corp was originally developed by the Butler County Sheriff's Department to assist in many areas of emergency services and law enforcement.  Since the Corps inception, it has grown into a group of highly dedicated individuals providing non-denominational chaplainary services to all branches of emergency services within Butler County, including the Department of EMS.  In addition, as the corps has developed and grown, they have become a vital component to the emergency medical service component of emergency response within Butler County.

EMS Chaplains are on call and ready to assist EMS responders, citizens, victims, patients and families 24 hours day, every day of the year.  EMS Chaplains provide crucial intervention and counseling services for EMS staff, as well as, serve as a calm, reassuring and trusting voice to our citizens and patients during their most difficult hours.

Although we hope that you never have to utilize our services, if you do, and if you believe you or your family could benefit from chaplain services, simply request that the EMS technicians on scene contact an EMS Chaplain.  You can make this request during or after your encounter with EMS.  In most cases, if requested, EMS Chaplains will arrive with EMS crews to emergency scenes even before the ambulance has left for the hospital.  In addition, if after an emergency involving you or a loved one has concluded, you believe the EMS chaplains can be of assistance, simply come to any EMS station in the county and request an EMS Chaplain.
