The annual Butler County EMS Kids Camp is a unique educational program which provides children going into the 5th through 7th grade with a fun and exciting view into the emergency services professions.
The camp consists of a two-day overnight camp held at the Butler County Emergency Medical Services Station 1 in El Dorado, KS. The children will learn about safety and accident prevention as well as get a "hands on" opportunity to learn about emergency equipment, techniques, and situations.

Crime Scene/CSI

Emergency Dispatching
Water Rescue
Firefighting
Law Enforcement K-9 demonstrations
Drunk Driving Awareness
All camp activities are taught and overseen by emergency services professionals from EMS, Fire Departments, Rescue Departments, Local Police, Sheriff's Deputies, Flight Nurses, Dispatchers, and the Kansas Highway Patrol. All activities are geared to be interactive hands-on learning experiences, but all are designed to be safe for participants.
The cost of Kid's Camp is $55 per child for the two-day program and includes dinner the first day and breakfast and lunch the second day. Snacks will also be provided throughout camp. Enrollment is limited to 120 campers and be on a first come, first served basis.
Also included in the cost of camp, each camper will receive a t-shirt as well as other prizes.
Registration fees will not be refunded after June 1st.
Kid's Camp is conducted at Butler County EMS Station #1 located at 701 N. Haverhill in El Dorado, KS.
Registration for Kids Camp begins at 7:30am the morning of Camp Day 1 (June 12th)
Campers may be dropped off by their parents the morning of Day 1 between 7:30am and 8:00am or may be picked-up at one of the following Kid's Camp Bus pick-up Locations:
ROSE HILL: Pick up at 911 N Rose Hill Rd (EMS/Fire Station), bus leaves for El Dorado at 7:00am
ANDOVER: Pick up at 911 N. Andover Rd (EMS/Fire Station), bus leaves for El Dorado at 7:15 am
AUGUSTA: Pick up at 2100 N Ohio (EMS/Fire Station), bus leaves for El Dorado at 7:30am
